An Effective Digital Signage Solution Designed for Easy Setup and Operation
This HDMI over IP extender transmitter delivers visually lossless 4K signals with low latency up to 328 feet (100 meters) via a standard Gigabit Ethernet switch. Engineered to meet today’s demands of large-scale, multi-display 4K signal transmission, the B162-001-POE is ideal for a wide range of indoor environments, such as trade shows, airports, university campuses, conference centers and shopping centers.

Lightweight Compression with Ultra-Low Latency
This transmitter uses advanced video lossless compression technology to extend true 4K video at 60 Hz or true 4K video at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. Choose from three different levels of video compression rate to match your application, including Smooth, Balance and High Quality. LEDs indicate connection and power status.

Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices
When installed in combination with a PoE Ethernet switch in a multipoint-to-multipoint setup, this PoE extender transmitter can be powered through a shielded Cat6 cable, though an external power supply is included. Power over Ethernet gives you the flexibility to install the transmitter in an area away from AC outlets, such as ceilings or high up on a wall or shelf. Note: When power is available from both the Cat6 cable and the power supply, the power supply will receive priority.

Limitless Scalability and Flexibility
Mix and match the latest 4K displays in simple point-to-point setups or more elaborate multipoint-to-multipoint setups via LAN (local area network) without distance limitations. In conjunction with B162-100-POE extender receivers, this transmitter offers multi-functionality in video wall and daisy-chain applications.

Collaboration with Control System
You can manage and configure the extender via CLI telnet, TCP or RS-232 commands from a connected computer. Just one click via touch panel or keypad is needed to operate a display, source and related equipment.

Spontaneous Scheduling Management
A user-friendly scheduling management function lets you pre-plan the display schedule, manage events in the calendar and set events to one-minute intervals. You can integrate all B162-Series devices in the application to arrange the profile by grouping individual receivers or video walls. Multiple profiles may be arranged to play in any order over a selected period.

No Complicated IP Setup
Switch effortlessly among input source devices via buttons on the top panel. No extensive IT experience is required to operate.

Web GUI-Based Management
Use a web browser or IP address to link directly to the transmitter’s built-in utility program, the DVOE Manager. It lets you configure transmitter settings, monitor statuses and create display templates.

Daisy-Chain Up to 30 Units
Connect multiple B162-100-POE receivers (sold separately) through a dedicated Ethernet network switch. Cabling and system deployment is easy with fewer cables needed. The daisy-chain function is especially ideal for large-scale deployment covering a wide area, such as hotels, airports, shopping malls and expo centers. Note: Only the first level supports PoE. All B162-Series units connected on the second level and above need an external power supply.

Create a Video Wall
The B162-001-POE supports an 8 x 8 video wall (64 displays) in either horizontal or vertical orientation. This is done by utilizing a B162-100-POE decoder for each display. Switching layout profiles, previewing the wall and dragging-and-dropping input sources is accomplished through the GUI.

Embedded Audio Support
A separate audio signal may be embedded into the HDMI stream.

Multiple Control Channels
Manage control methods via Ethernet or the top-panel buttons. A USB 2.0 port allows connection to the source device. A bi-directional IR channel allows IR transmission one way at a time. A bi-directional RS-232 serial port connects a computer for serial control. Note: In order to save bandwidth and optimize video performance, the USB, IR and RS-232 ports are disabled by default. Access the DVOE Manager to enable them.
