It is compatible with Apple iPhone 6 or later models that are on iOS 10 and above. Not only does this adapter reduce cable clutter in your vehicle, it also allows you to operate CarPlay functions such as music and podcast control, answer calls and texts via voice-to-text, navigate via Apple Maps and make voice commands through Siri. An included USB-A to USB-C adapter lets you connect to either port in a vehicle.
Easy Installation Allows for Quick Setup and Recurring Use An ideal tool for travelers, particularly sales professionals always on the go, this adapter uses a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to establish a pairing between the phone and the vehicle and switches to Wi-Fi to maintain the wireless connection. Once the initial connection is established, the U264-001-APL will instantly reconnect to the phone moving forward. A green LED indicates that a connection is established. Note: The U264-001-APL is only compatible with vehicles that require a wired CarPlay connection. Vehicles with support for a Bluetooth connection to CarPlay do not require this device.
